I love the idea of a Tavor 7 But I wonder if anyone (including IWI) has any plans to offer a more accurate barrel; something in a 1:10 twist I know the Tavor 7 is more of a "battle" rifle But I like shooting things a LOONNNGGGGG way away If I could get a 308 Tavor 7 capable of hitting accurately out to 1,000 yards, they'd have my money

That said, iwi QC and fit finish is lightyears better than colt I have both The zion15 is nicer in every aspect, except it doesn't say colt If i caught the OP correctly, he said the zion has a chrome barrel Its nitride, not chrome I reckon you could score that as a point for the colt if you really wanted chrome

It would be nice if IWI switched up the barrel profile to pencil weight and experimented with 1 8 twist, 5R, and a Wylde chamber to see how much more accurate the rifle can get View Quote The funny thing is the rep in the vid calls it a pencil profile claimed the package weighs 7 5#, so go figure

On the other hand, the receiver markings both say IWI-Israel and IWI US-Middletown PA I wouldn’t think they would say IWI-Israel if was completely US made I had also heard it was entirely US made in an effort to avoid ATF shenanigans like they’ve had with the Tavor where parts were suddenly and randomly disallowed for import like the 9mm
