Duckstation is the best PS1 emulator at this point as far as I know I have a preference for Duckstation over the Master Collection but honestly they're both perfectly good options and the master collection is slightly easier to use if you don't have much experience with emulators

Resolution is locked at 720p so it would look bad on your 4k monitor, there is a fix for that on youtube where u have to edit the exe file using hex editor Mouse controls suck, moved my mouse 1 meter and the camera moved around 60degree only Doesn't show kb+mouse controls ingame only xb controls

Yee With all the graphics enhanced I use epsxe I have a save state for each of my favorite boss fights And then mgs integral All the vr missions! Cyborg ninja missions 🔥🔥🔥 Forget about it!

I would also recommend emulation with gamepad My number 1 emulator now is Duckstation Very easy to use and you can get some very nice graphics enabling some settings if you want to get better visuals ;-) I use Duckstation on PC and Android, both are great and they are very often updated (like almost every week!)

The "upscaling" talked about in the emulator isn't just taking the OG PS1 output and stretching That'd look like butt This emulator does interpolation of both the 3d polygons being drawn to the screen as well as the actual textures being used on the models

I played it on the Duckstation emulator with all sorts of enhancements: using a DualSense PS5 controller, 4k resolution, an essentially perfect widescreen hack, no wobbly polygons or textures, but still nearest-neighbor textures instead of bilinear filtered so it feels like a PS1 game Also I save-scummed a bit with some savestates
