While we understand that it's generally recommended to book directly on the companies websites, we noticed that TripAdvisor offers a cheaper price for the same activities However, we're uncertain if there might be any additional fees charged later, despite the final price they provide We're simply curious if it's safe to book on TripAdvisor

Up until this year, I would have said go with TripAdvisor as that is where I largely post reviews; however, Google has become very aggressive at soliciting reviews and they make the process far easier to give a rating, short review, and most importantly to add photos

In the role of a guest for many years, I appreciated the service TripAdvisor provided, allowing guests to share recommendations and warnings about hotels, etc I contributed a lot to the site for free and built up a reputation there However, in the last couple of years I have been aghast to see how they have been censoring reviews more and more

I LOVE GetYourGuide I always used to use Viator but since Tripadvisor acquired them there are way too many options I have booked maybe 15-17 tours with GetYourGuide and they've always been great and smooth each time Edit: and when the pandemic hit I had 4 upcoming tours that they refunded me for immediately no questions asked

TripAdvisor is also great for information, but keep in mind that people all have different expectations of what they do and the level of service provided Booking to either of these is generally safe, but but again, go with tours with reviews

TripAdvisor used to be my “go to” but since being sold, it has lost something Actually, it has lost everything I still use the forum but the site is no longer valuable It is simply a mechanism for selling tickets and tours I now use Google reviews and Reddit and location specific blogs It’s really a shame with TripAdvisor

Yeah like TripAdvisor ranks by Best Value and Traveler Rating Rather than the rating value, my grading values were each source site's rating rank # It was a silly little ADD-hyperfocus project I messed around with to help a client Yours is waaaay more detailed though, well done

thanks! yeah, it’s not always the best deal, but i find it usually is for the nicer hotels here’s my strategy for travel: look at tripadvisor and rank the hotels by best rated start by looking up the top rated hotels to see if they offer a government rate during my vacation
